July Round Up
A Month in Review: July at The Busy Food Company and The View Bar and Bistro
July was one of our busiest months yet a milestone anniversary celebration, a golf club weekend for the ages, a sell-out chippy tea, and plenty of reasons to give back to our local community. Here's a look back at how the month unfolded across catering, The View, and our charity work.
Celebrating 20 Years with Crowberry Consulting
One of the real highlights of our month was catering Crowberry Consulting's 20th anniversary celebration a huge milestone worth marking in style. We served up a bespoke three-course meal in the medieval banquet suite at Park Hall, a stunning setting that made for a truly memorable evening. The event fell right in the middle of

the sweltering heatwave, and we couldn't be prouder of how our team coped brilliantly under such difficult conditions to deliver a night worthy of the occasion. It's occasions like these that remind us why we love corporate and private event catering so much: every business has its own story, and we get to help tell it through food.
Captain's Weekend Takes Over Oak Royal
Early July saw Oak Royal Golf Club's Captain's Weekend in full swing, and it was a brilliant few days for golfers, families, and charity alike:
- 3rd July brought the Golfer/Non-Golfer Competition, a fantastic family event that welcomed non-players onto the course for a fun, inclusive day
- 4th July was Captain's Competition day
- 5th July saw past Captains return to the club for a friendly competition of their own
The weekend wasn't just about golf, though it raised valuable funds for this year's Captain's charities, Rosemere Cancer Foundation and the Alzheimer's Society. A brilliant cause, and a brilliant turnout to match.
Match Days with the Local Cricket Club
Our partnership with the local cricket club continued throughout July, with our catering team on hand for match days serving up a delicious buffet to be enjoyed between innings. There's something special about catering for community sport it's relaxed, it's sociable, and it's exactly the kind of local connection we love being part of.
A Busy Month for Outside Catering
Beyond the big milestone events, July kept our catering team on the road with over a dozen outside events funerals, christenings, birthdays, and retirements among them. Each one is different, and each one matters just as much as the last. We were also delighted to host several private celebrations right here at The View itself.
Life at The View
It's fair to say the summer holidays had an effect on our regular sittings our Sunday roast and steak nights were a little quieter than usual this month, which isn't unusual once school breaks up and routines shift. But it wasn't all quiet: our chippy tea night was a complete sell-out, and it was brilliant to see the restaurant so full for it.

Giving Back: St Catherine's Hospice Cake Sale
Community support is at the heart of what we do, and July gave us the chance to contribute to a charity cake sale in aid of St Catherine's Hospice. We were glad to donate a host of cakes to help raise funds for such a valued local cause.
Looking Ahead
From milestone anniversaries to sell-out nights and charity fundraising, July was a month that reflected everything we love about running a food business rooted in community. Thank you to everyone who joined us whether at an event, on the course, or at The View and here's to an equally busy August ahead.
