August Round Up

August is always one of our busiest months, and this year was no exception. Here's a look back at what kept us on our toes.

When Runners Meet Pie and Peas

One of our favourite nights of the month came when a local running club chose

The View for their social event. After pounding the pavement together, the group arrived

back buzzing with post-run energy, ready to tuck into either pie and peas or a comforting lasagne. There's something special about watching a room fill up with

people who've just achieved something together as a team, then seeing that same energy carry through into the evening over good food. It's exactly the kind of event we love hosting, and a reminder of why The View exists: to give local groups a proper space to celebrate.

The Numbers Behind a Busy Catering Month

Away from the running club, our catering diary told its own story. Over 20 outside events kept The Busy Food Company team on the road throughout August, each one requiring

its own plan, prep and delivery schedule. Among them was a funeral wake calling for more than 100 handmade pies, alongside a steady stream of business meetings and client lunches. The standout, though, was a single morning that saw us complete a 90-mile round trip across four different locations in the North West. Days like that don't happen by accident. They take careful route planning, tight timings and a team who know exactly what they're doing under pressure. It's not glamorous, but it's the kind of behind-the-scenes work that we think deserves a mention.

Two Nights, Sold Out Twice

Our Chippy Tea Night and Steak Night both sold out again this August, continuing a trend we're seeing almost every month now. Honestly, we couldn't be more grateful. These nights have become something people plan around, and we love that. If there's one thing we'd say to anyone thinking about joining us for the next one: don't wait. These dates go quickly, and we'd always rather you got the night you wanted than missed out because we were already full.

Time to Rest

Behind every pie, every delivery and every busy night, there's a team working hard

to make it happen - and this August, several of them finally got some well-earned

time off. A busy summer takes it out of everyone, so we made sure our team had the chance to properly switch off, rest up and come back with fresh energy for the months ahead. A well-rested team is a big part of what keeps the quality behind everything we do, and we're grateful to everyone who kept things running while others took a break.
